Future House Davos
Reimagining the Relationship Between Humanity & Technology
Future House Davos gathers the world leaders and CEOs, technologists, academics and changemakers to tackle the most pressing issues defining our digital world. We are collaborating with Human Change and Project Liberty to develop ambitious solutions to safer digital space, ethical technology, and a future where people have voice, choice, and a stake in a better web.
ABOUT FUTURE HOUSE DAVOS
A Space for Systemic Digital Change
Future House Davos is a multi-brand platform based on the idea that technology should be used by humanity - not substitute it or undermine it. It is held together with the World Economic Forum and provides a platform where cross-sector discussions on long-term social transformation of digital ecosystems are held.
We examine solutions that go beyond incremental reform, to radically meaningful, structural change of how data, platforms and digital experiences are shaping our lives.

OUR PARTNERS
Collaborating to Build a Healthier Digital Future
Human Change
An international advocacy movement that changes the discourse of mental health in the digital era among children. The Human Change raises the voice of experts, summarizes studies, and promotes the solutions that will help children avoid the adverse impacts of excessive exposure to social media and digital tools.
Project Liberty
In 2021, Project Liberty was initiated to create technology, policy frameworks, and strategic collaborations to restore power of data and online experiences to individuals. The vision of the initiative is an internet in which individuals possess significant voice, informed choice, and effective governance authority, rather than passive ones.
Global Digital Responsibility Network
A global group of scientists, policymakers, and technology executives that strive to facilitate ethical innovation and responsible platform management. The network endorses collaborative systems that value transparency, user rights, and overall well-being of the society in the dynamic digital ecosystem.
WHY FUTURE HOUSE MATTERS
A Turning Point for the Digital Ecosystem
It is a critical juncture. The contemporary digital model, which is run through the attention economy, has transformed society, frequently to the detriment of mental health, privacy, and civic discourse. Future House Davos is created to envision and practice alternatives. Through bringing together leaders of all fields, we will shift the conversation to action- create a healthier, more responsible and human-centered digital future.

Rebuilding the Internet for a Healthier Digital Society
Algorithms and surveillance capitalism create echo chambers and addictive internet consumption, no longer a symbol of connectivity. The recovery requires a conscious effort in terms of the design that should focus on human well being rather than unlimited interaction. This vision is not the profit-driven platform but decentralized and ethical networks that build trust, privacy and meaningful interaction. A digital world that improves mental health, civic life and creativity is reasserted by reconsidering infrastructure, governance, and user experience, and societies can reclaim it.
Decentralizing Infrastructure for User Control
Monopolies are created by centralized servers; IPFS and Dat peer-to-peer protocols allow users to host content together. Mesh networks take this all the way to the physical layer, making resilient local internets that cannot be throttled by corporations. Naming is democratized by blockchain-based domains through ENS or Handshake, depriving registrars of their power. These technologies will allow sovereign data spaces, in which people will control their online presence, not depending on ad-revenue giants and limiting targeted manipulation.
Prioritizing Privacy as a Foundational Right
Surveillance destroys trust- build it back up with end-to-end encryption requirements in all applications, which are default. Zero-knowledge proofs are used to verify identities without revealing data to ensure safe social graphs. Mastodon-like networks are run by federated identity systems such as ActivityPub, which allow users to move profiles across systems. Privacy-by-design requires audits and bounties on vulnerabilities, whereas data minimization laws put limits on retention. This platform mends the division in the society because the voices of those who are vulnerable are not doxed, or harassed.
Curating Healthy Content Ecosystems

Algorithms increase outrage; substitute with serendipity engines that bring out diverse content of high quality through collaborative filtering. Community-driven forums with a reputation system that compensates finesse rather than virality are based on development of Reddit, but with quadratic voting to boost minorities. Wellness nudges restrict the time spent on the screen, encourage offline interactions, and encourage physical meetings. Digital literacy is inherent- platform-based learning of source evaluation, where people are taught on interactive problems, and resilient critical thinkers are developed.
Fostering Genuine Connection and Creativity
Far apart social media makes you go; rebuild to get depth. Asynchronous video responses and audio space of longer form invite reflection, as opposed to knee-jerk responses. Virtual worlds are co-creation oriented – metaverses that are open-source and in which users create common worlds, rather than advertisers. Offline-first applications are synchronized on-demand, overcoming digital divides in low-bandwidth regions. Mental health characteristics comprise burnout sensors through usage patterns, provision of resources or sabbaticals. The creativity thrives when there are AI partners that supplement human creativity but do not substitute it.
Governance Models for Collective Stewardship
Top-down does not work; liquid democracy, in which users allocate votes to platform rules. DAOs handle financing of civic amenities such as open routers or fact-checking hubs. International standards are born through interoperable, not imperative, protocols – rethink W3C reborn. There is congruence in incentives: token economies symbolize positive contributions, and slashing is a type of toxicity reward.
Implementation Roadmap and Challenges
Begin small: run fediverses city-wide, scale through open standards. Challenges such as scalability give way to development of WebRTC; regulation capture requires financing of alternatives publicly. Healthier habits are normalized through education campaigns.
The reconstruction of the internet creates a world in which technology is used to benefit man, and not to exploit man. This healthier virtual cloth predicts stronger connections, better-informed voters, and an unlimited amount of innovation one protocol at a time.
